    reuse the pump

add two zone valves - mix in an assortment of nipples and fittings - don't forget isolation/balance and purge/drain valves

sounds like a good project for the summer!

    Objectives

    Dennis,

Your boiler already seems tremendously oversized for your home. Splitting the zones will lead to shorter run times if not short cycling which will decrease efficiency and increase maintenance costs.

What is it that is making you want to consider zoning?

    One idea...

One idea might be to move the t-stat away from the pellet stove's influence and then use one or more TRVs to control temps in that area depending on how your baseboards are piped.

baseboard units are one series loop. really need to trv one unit in living room. would this require bypass for baseboard unit?
