    Hi Guys,

    I’m operating a 125 hp fire tube boiler. It’s using a lots of additional oxygen scavenger solution on top of the regular water treatment solution that should be covering everything by itself. I have also notice that a vacuum form into the boiler when the boiler sits for a long time. I don’t think that there is any vacuum breaker on the system beside a small vent on the condensate tank. The boiler is operated with a Teckmar control system; witch is just like a steam timer. So I got a few questions;

    Why is the boiler using so much additional oxygen scavenger solution when it should be doing fine with the water treatment package solution?
    Does the system needs vacuum breakers and where should they be installed?

    If any of you guys have some advises to give me I would really appreciate it. Thanks a lot. God bless.

    Sorry for the delay. Unfortunately we don’t have a meter on the feed water line so I don’t know what the make up rate is.
