    I gave the owner options

for a large Buderus oil, two small oil fired that would be staged and switching over to gas with two GB's. He decided to switch and have the gas company bring in a line.

We located to GB's near the new meter and in a location that was good for venting. We then built out distrubution panel near the old piping so to keep the cost down. We ran two 2" copper lines from the boilers to the panel.

The owner had cast iron rads in the main part of the house and had previously added TRV's to control them. I made those zones constant circulation and they just purr.

    Super Dupe!

Nice work! I love seeing multiple mod/cons with a hydroseparator done like that. Very nice planning and execution.

    Hey Scott

Beautiful job, how was the night out with Brad and Mark? Is there any scotch left in Massachusetts? Thoughts on the Stratos?

    No problem!

I passed a few folks today that were not having a good day.

Watched one brainiac pass a snow plow only to leave the pike shortly after and NOT by an actual exit.

Thanks for giving me the time this am!

    No Gary,

2nd zone off the supply manifold goes to the Buderus mixing station that covers the in floor radiant for the game room and the wood shop....where the boilers were installed. Lower temp. in concrete.

P.S. ...for Johnny NY..That was the system that Capco sent to us to hang the Caleffi separator from. I tried to get the website to you then..but it wasn't listed ... Hope it's clearer now. Chris

    NICE WORK

That is one sweet job. I hope you educated the owner as to proper maintainence. That Peerless you removed was definately neglected at some point looking at the burnt front. It would be sad to see all this nice work go the same route.

    modifications

From the pics it looks like you may have modified the P/S pump set-up that comes with the GB. I see your supply and returns entering from the bottom as opposed to sides.

Seems like with the hydro separator you wouldn't want yet another separation at the boiler. It's kind of drag that Buderus only sells the boiler this way, Did you just un-sweat at the ball valves? Are the boilers are staged, Budarus control?, do they rotate firing when only one is required to meet load? were is the supply temp measured from? Nice job, I appreciate when people post pictures

    Those old boilers are gross!

But...would y'all like to see some pics of the colostomy bag that was dropped in a toilet in one of my buildings? Good job, Scott..keep it up!

We did modifie the P/S station. Chris unsweat the ball valves. It makes it easier to bring a manifold to each boiler and size it.

We used the Buderus CM10 control to stage and rotate the boilers and each boiler uses its AM10 control for reset. We set the supply sensor on the manifold between the boilers and the Caleffi.

    Thanks for the comments.
