Dating a Burnham V series

My brother just bought a house with a Burnham V-74-T steam boiler with the serial number 2700498. I can't find any information on how old this boiler may be. Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Roughly........

somewhere in the very early 90's, 91 or 92 I would say. I have one in my house that is water with a 2701 serial number and I installed it in 93. I'm sure you can call Burnham direct and they can tell you exactly by the serial number.

Check the date codes on ...................

some of the other controls. Most boilers come as a package with new controls, fuel pump, cir pump , etc . This will give you a good idea of age of unit.

I didn't think of that! It does have a probe type low water cut off.

    Thanks for the help
