My brother just bought a house with a Burnham V-74-T steam boiler with the serial number 2700498. I can't find any information on how old this boiler may be. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Roughly........
somewhere in the very early 90's, 91 or 92 I would say. I have one in my house that is water with a 2701 serial number and I installed it in 93. I'm sure you can call Burnham direct and they can tell you exactly by the serial number.0 -
Check the date codes on ...................
some of the other controls. Most boilers come as a package with new controls, fuel pump, cir pump , etc . This will give you a good idea of age of unit.0 -
I didn't think of that! It does have a probe type low water cut off.
Thanks for the help0
