    serviced?

    Jay,
When you say it shuts down are you saying the burner locks out and you press the oil burner reset button to get it restarted? Or is it short cycling on and off?

Is it safe to assume that you haven't been dealing with this same symptom for 5 years?

Steam boilers require flushing of the low water cutoff every week in the winter. Are you doing this?

It sounds like theres too much combustion air supplied to the burner and the shuttering fire is tricking the cad cell eye into recycle mode.

However, if your having to press the reset button each time to get it started it can be something completely different.

Either way the solution is to call a professional for service.
