Munchkin Fuel Question

I have a friend with a M140 in a fairly remote part of Idaho. It is on a radiant heat system with a super store tank for domestic hot water. He sometimes is absent from the house for weeks or maybe even longer than a month.

He is concerned about what would happen if his LP tank runs out of fuel when he is not there. I suppose it would go to a flame lockout F09 error code? And then will require a manual reset on the S4/reset button?

Any other errors that might happen if tank runs out of fuel?

Thanks in advance,
Rob L

    Running out of LP

It's not wise to run out of LP with a tank that holds it in a liquid state. Hopefully this boiler is using such a tank. I would take extra precautions in making sure he doesn't run out,not to mention taking a chance on freezing the water and heat piping.

    Just a thought

You could have a freeze control linked to your number or his contractor for starters. A very inexpensive way to give him piece of mind would be to have the Propane delivery guy check his house out every month on his route. It probably wouldn't cost anything extra.
