    Steve isn't there

a place here somewhere that had pictures of the layout AND a layout diagram/illustration? I don't venture off the wall enough to know where I saw it, but I think it's here.

    The Front Bedroom too Cold?

    That's normal......
    What
happen fifty years ago ... They were banging out those homes so fast the plumber barely had enough time to roll out the copper because there was a cement truck and floaters up his ****. Forget about fastening it down. Most of the loop was pushed back toward the rear. So the front bedroom is cold with the radiant heat and ends up too hot when they convert to baseboard. That 10 x10 room ends up with 22' of bb. Of cause you should use 12' of dummy

There was an error rendering this rich post.

    Oh.

Did you try looking under the Old Fogey tab (on the masthead)? I think we have a guy in there who can help. :-)

  • What type of boiler ?

Is it on the floor or hanging on the wall ? We have a plumber who still repairs original Levitt radiant . I'll ask if he knows which pipes go to the master bedroom .

Big Ed , the back bedroom is usually the master . But you're right , the front bedroom is always the coldest with radiant .
  • FLOOR

    Ron,

Floor mounted boiler. This is on the ranch that they left the attic and unfinished 2nd floor.. wink wink.

This is great stuff brings back some memory's of working on some old infloor systems in Closter NJ but it was Iron Pipe/no edge insulation so the tulip's would grow around the house in January
