VARIVALVE---------------------------HEATTIMER

I have to ask about the application and other radiators on the system. If you introduce steam into a small-bore tube such as fin-tube radiation and the steam is wet or a slug of water exists, forget pressure, you will have velocity. If the Vari-Valve (or any vent for that matter) is at the end of the run, water will be picked up and carried along. Being essentially incompressible will find it's way into the vent with some force.

VARIVALVE=================HEAT-TIMER
I INSTALLED A NEW STEAM BOILER LAST YEAR. IN LESS THAN SIX MONTHS THE VARI-VENT HAS BLEW APART. NOT THE THREADS BUT THE GUTS. I CHECKED THE PRESSURE AND DIFF. AND IS AT 1/2 PSI. THEN I SKIMMED THE BOILER FOR A COUPLE HOURS. AND IT HAPPENED 3 MONTHS LATER. CAN THE VALVE BE DEFFECTIVE OR SHOULD I LOOK ELSEWHERE? THE REST OF THE SYSTEM HAS REGULAR VENT RITES, BUT THIS IS ON A BASEBOARD PIECE OF HEAT (THAT LOOKS LIKE HIGH TEMP).There was an error rendering this rich post.
