I would install the expansion tank (diaphram style) into the bottom of the air seperator before the system pump. I also "T" in my makeup water here.

Here's what I'm doing..........Burnham v907A water boiler, two dhw coils, Burnham RTC package, primary/secondary, extg. system circ. on supply, new boiler circ. on supply (as reqd by Burnham), air separator immediately down stream from boiler injection loop T...........My question is where is the best location for the expansion tank? I'm thinking of installing the exp tank on the return side of the two closely spaced T's,(this way both circs are pumping away) or attached to the air separator(which is down stream from injection pump, but up stream from system pump. BTW, Burnham guide books do not show the location of the exp tank.
