Spring Loaded Check Valve

I have spring loaded check valve set horizontally on a Radiant Floor heat setup. This newly replaced Spring loaded Check valve replaced a Brass Flap Check Valve.
When finished the floor system was restarted and now the Spring Check Valve makes a constant shuttering/rattling/fluttering sound. I almost have to throttle down the line to zero to stop the noise.
Why is the noise there (cheap spring check valve?)
Is there a different Check Valve that one could recommend since the flap valve was constantly slaming open and shut.

Thanks again

Andrew

CV value of check valve is too high

The check valve is able to flow way more fluid than what is actually flowing. Too often valves and fittings (of all kinds) are sized based on what size piping they are going into, ie: an 1-1/4" line must need an 1-1/4" check valve, mixing valve, etc. Unfortunately, this is not correct. The valve should be sized for how much actual flow is actually required through it. Often times this means the check valve will be one, even two pipe sizes smaller than the pipe itself. The check valve is able to pass so much fluid that the poppet inside only has to open a very small amount to allow the required flow. This keeps it "tinkling" right around on the seat, as opposed to opening completely. You have a couple of options: Cut the old check valve out and replace it with a smaller diameter check valve, or, cut it out completely and replace your pump with an IFC pump, (a pump that has a check valve built right in to it, like a Taco 007IFC or whatever size pump you need).
    Hope this helps,
    Rocky
