Find out who is going to service the unit you choose to have installed. Ask them if they stock the common repair parts. If they don't, ask them if they are stocked locally.
Only install the unit that has the best repair parts coverage in your area.
"National Backorder" is the last thing you want to hear when it is -5 degrees outside, and you have no heat.

Boiler Selection- Advice Needed!
Hi All:
Have been quoted equal costs to install a Triangle Tube Prestige 175 or a Weil McLain Ultra 150. Also quoted $1,000 less for an NTI Trinity 150 Ti. What would you guys do if this decision was yours?
Thanks tons!!0 -
Prestige is my pick
Have all COs done a good load calcs on house. Thats a large boiler for residence. I would venture to say the house would have to be over 4000 sft with poor insulation and windows to require that boiler. Just a note as I just finished sizing for this size of house. Make sure good load calcs done to support sizing. Tim0 -
Tim and al are both rigth. It's good to have a good supply house that stocks up on spare parts.Or a installer that has all the spare parts on hand. I support Viessmann/Triangle's prestige and baxi luna. Triangle has a service mans kit that has every part that is needed in a case... If you installer is serious about it he will have this kit on his truck !0
