Radiator valve size change

I need to replace a radiator in one of my rooms. It has a tremendous sloshing sound of water in it (one pipe steam) and pitching it has not changed the problem. The valve is always fully open. I have another radiator to swap it out with however the current rad has a 1 1/4" riser and valve, and the replacement is 1". I am not sure how to make this transition. I plan on installing a new valve as well. Is there such a thing as a reducing valve? The ideal would be a valve with 1 1/4" inlet for the riser with a 1" outlet. Not sure if this exists. Thanks.

    radiator flushing

sounds like you need to flush that radiator out using low water pressure with a hose screwed into the vent opening.
first unscrew the bonnet on the valve and check for a faulty valve disk ,[like the washer in a sink tap,but hard fiber].these can sometimes drop off and close the valve.
i would doubt that changing the radiator will do you any good in this case.--nbc

I will check that, but would still like to know about reducing the riser/valve size for a different radiator inlet. I have a lot of radiators and some are sized too large for the rooms they are in. I have others I could swap, but have this issue.
