Thank you, Heatmeister, for the tip about Caleffi shutoffs. I will check it out. I appreciate it!

Tight-space shutoff/TRV, please
Can anyone please suggest a small shutoff valve (1/2"-3/4"), for tight spaces?
I would like to add (since the loop is drained) a shutoff and TRV to an existing fin-tube baseboard. (And probably replace the bad-idea BB with CI BB that I have since gotten.)
Dang, the space is tight. :-( Inch to wall, inches between the 3/4" Cu risers... sweated... even hard to swing a small tubing cutter.
Q: Is there a tiny shutoff valve for spaces such as this?
Q: do some TRVs, such as the Oventrop, actually serve as shutoff valves? (I think that's what it's saying in its literature.) Would be cool. Danfoss, on the other hand, which I am using elsewhere, seems to go only as low as anti-freze low-flow.
I suppose I should bite the bullet, and roll back the tacked carpet to gain access, but am unsure I could get it put together again. :-(
Thank you, from frigid MN, cheering for Favre today.0 -
Check Caleffi ,they are petty short and you can screw on a TRV, and yes they can serve as a shutoff as well.0 -
the # on the valve is:676159A .You "lose" approx 2.5" for the Body.0
