RI Wallies?

There's a project there and we're looking for a local contractor to help us with it. It could be lucrative for a guy (or gal) with a progressive way of approaching HVAC.

    Hydronics?

If you are looking for hydronics, you could try Bill Riley at Riley Plumbing & Heating in Warwick. He doesn't do forced air, but I understand he works hard to keep up with the hydronics technology.

(or his son did) by email. I gave them the run down, no more reply.I'm hoping I didn't scare them away. ;)

Some of it does require forced air and sheetmetal, that may be a sticking point for them.

    Thanks for the lead though!

    HVAC

For the HVAC you could try Vic Mir Heating & Air in East Providence. I understand they are also capable.

    RI Heating contractor

    MPF,

Definitely put Jim Kazouis on your list of heating guys to have look at your project. His number is (401) 252-9112. I have worked with him on a several installations and he is excellent.

FYI, for everybody who doesn't "know" me. I'm a licensed HVAC contractor in CT. I have a regular customer who wants to build a medium sized ultra green/ultra efficient home in Newport RI. I am not licensed to work in RI and it's also a pretty good drive for me. It is a very forward thinking project and involves new technology I have already used and some I haven't. The architect and owner both want to experiment and (so far) they want me to oversee the project because of my ideas and past experience. My main job is to help with the design and do my best to ensure it will all really work as planned BEFORE we put it all in. I'll also be responsible for the installation and set up of the new technology aspect of the project.

I need a RI licensed company that is willing to work WITH me on this. The bulk of the install will be done by them which means the bulk of the income generated will also go to them. If all goes according to preliminary plans this will be a first of it's kind project in the US and should generate some good exposure for whatever company helps me pull it off.

Preferably this company has experience with Wirsbo/Uponor materials and installation but I won't say it's required to be THAT particular brand. It's just the one I have experience and the best support with. It would also be preferred that this company would be willing to get a couple techs factory trained in this new technology I speak of as I expect they will be the ones to service the system in the future.

Again, if you are interested email me: falade@snet.net

Meanwhile, next week I'll be contacting those leads that have come up here and see who might be up for it.

    Thanks!
