in the message system. I did not post this message but somehow the author and email are mine. Might be something the ADMINS would like to take a look at.

    riello burner

I had a new veissman boiler with riello burner installed. the ignitor(transformer)circuit board on the burner has shorted out 3 times. fan comes on then about 10 secs later transformer shorts out. fired the installer, waiting for new guy to show up. any suggestions? the burner is getting good power, fan comes on normally, then transformer shorts out. did the installer set up the burner incorrectly?

sounds like a wire up problem

Get a good burner guy in there. He can straighten out the wire up problem pretty easy. Don't know about the rest of system. Post some pics if you like and we will all look at! Tim

    look at -

the Viessmann supplied wiring diagram - it correctly identifies the wiring requirements. The Riello wiring diagram does not work - Viessmann has made several OEM changes - what's your location?? Phone JP in RI or John Kleist in Waterloo - depending on which side of the 49th you sit.

    may not have a 41 -

depending on install requirements - I did a G7/CT3-89 a few years ago - also had a small wiring deficiency - drove me nuts - it happens!

Who said the ground was wrong in the 41? My guess is that the ground wire didn't make it to the right spot at the burner!
