How many btu/sq. ft output can i expect with staple-up using transfer plates. floor will be mix of carpet, tile and wood laminate. 140 supply water temp, cast iron boiler existing. Looking to replace if necessary.

IT Depends
Off of the top of my head ,i Think it is about 15 to 20 BTU/Sq ft. as a plateless Stapleup , Which i never do! Well i should not say it that way. It depends on the heatloss of the building, In our neck of the woods a plateless in most cases will not work! I think John Siegentahler has a article about this! Maybe check and see if you can use a "Warmboard" type of system.0 -
