guage

How would I go about connecting another guage to my steam boiler?
The one I have now is the code one up to 30psi.Its just attached to the boiler with a straight 1 inch pipe and a 90 degree elbow. I would like to add a guage from 1-5 lbs.
Thanks..

    I might assume

that the low pressures desired make the 30 PSI gauge look like it is not working...

    gauge

The 30 psi gauge is mostly useless but required by code. It is difficult to confirm your cut-in cut-out pressures (which confirms that your pressuretrol is working properly) on such a large scale gauge for low steam pressures. I needed a more accurate gauge.

I installed a 0-5 psi gauge by installing a 1/4 inch "T". The gauge is scaled in 1/10 pound increments and has informed me that my cut-in is .5 psi and my cut-out is 1.3 psi. I have confirmed this on several occasions. (My wife says I need to "get a life" and stop playing with the boiler.)
I have included a picture. Two things to note are I dropped the 30 psi gauge on the floor which made the dial get stuck at 4 psi permanently (it now registers 5psi when the boiler is a full pressure) and please don't be a pig with the pipe dope as I (an amatuer) was in my install.

    girls just don't understand

heck, i'm not picky about the dope, simply wipe it off. but i am scratching my head about the position of that siphon bend, and the duct tape/insulation?
