2 boiler system with tekmar control

I just finished converting a house with 2 boilers- 1 for each floor. It was a 2 family- now a single family home. We installed a Tekmar 264 there are 2 60,000 btu ( output) boilers, and an indirect for DHW. The house has cast iron radiators with some old 2 1/2" mains- I suspect remnants of what was once a gravity system. The second set of mains runs on 1" copper. On start up the system took 35 minutes to bring back warm water.
My question is this. I installed Wilo 16X circulators. should I slow them down and let the system work more like it used to when it was a gravity system. This would take the heat away from the primary loop more slowly- allowing the boilers to get above condensing temperatures more quickly. My thought is that longer cycle times at lower temperatures will be more comfortable in the home, and less of a shock to the boilers. Any body have advice on this?
