Voyager Boiler (noexhaust)

Hi Ted;
Yes it does and I was unaware that the one blower motor does it all. I just noticed now that the ignitor LED is off as well and I now have a different symptom.
I no longer wind up in a LOC state, it just cycles like the ignitor is not working, so I swapped the ignitor which changed nothing, it appears that the connector on the PC board is a bit loose.
And no I am not a technician but help cannot get here for a couple of days....
regards,
Dave

Voyager Boiler (no exhaust)
Hello;
I am troubleshooting a 7 year old Heat Transfer Product Voyager Boiler model SSVH130-455A.
The boiler was running fine but failed overnight. Restarted in the morning and it lasted 6 hours.
The problem is a "flashing pressure switch" which then goes into a "LOC" state. I checked the input and output venting and there is NO exhaust coming from the boiler even when disconnecting the PVC right at the boiler. The intake seems to be working.
The blower for the exhaust seems to be internal to the tank ?? The only external blower is running.
Maybe I have a defective pressure switch ? How do I check ?
any help greatly appreciated!
regards,

Voyager
There is only one combustion blower on the Voyager.
Does the blower run on start up?
Are you a technician?0 -
volts
The igniter is 110 volts. When the igniter l.e.d. is on, you should have 110 volt coming out of the plug to the igniter wires.0 -
Yeah and the problem is I do not have the ignitor LED coming on anymore and the pressure LED no longer goes into a flashing state, they are both dark so it seems something else happened ?0 -
Ok the symptoms are as originally stated;
Guess the unit had to cycle a couple of times before going into a LOC state with a flashing pressure switch LED.
However, I never see the ignitor LED activate.

Blower
I dont know anything about the Voyager in particular. Could it be that the blower motor is turning, but the blower wheel is not? It may have come loose from the shaft.0 -
Well help just arrived and a good thing because the temp outside is +2 !
After shorting out the pressure switch the unit fired right up, I was unaware that the ignitor follows the pressure sequence, hopefully that is all that's wrong and not also a blower getting ready to go.

Safeties
Jumping out safeties can be dangerous. Are you sure there is exhaust now? What happens if the blower fails and you have the pressure switch jumped? Better safe than sorry.0 -
skill
i agree when you do not know what do are doing...
a momentary bypass is the fastest way to trouble shoot. gotta know what you are doing of course.0 -
Hi All;
The shorting out of the pressure switch was simply for troubleshooting. There is a set screw adjustment that we backed out to a minimum position and everything is fine now.
Trying to decide if I should replace the switch or let it go ? This is a 2nd house so I am leaning towards replacing the switch,,,it is not in stock currently.

Regarding pressure switch lockout
We have had to disconnect flue and combustion air intake, shop vacuumed out debris from comb. air inlet pipe to get unit to work, reconnect and all worked. Make sure both are open so as not to put too much vacuum on gas valve or press. switch. Should be done by qualified agency. Good luck.0
