Tarm wood boiler with VSIM yay or nay?

I've used RMBs in other applications but hadn't thought of it for this. I'm not familiar at all with the Grundfos piece, but got their nice field book and am aware they're doing some really good stuff. What possible pros and cons do you see over the Tekmar if any? Thanks. Kevin

    Upcoming project

Steel farm shop with Tarm wood gasification boiler and 960 gallon heat storage tank. Tarm shows a "termovar" thermostatic tempering valve for boiler protection etc...
I gotta have electricity for the system to pump anyhow, so is there any reason I shouldn't use a Tekmar with Variable Speed Injection Mixing instead? I just did that on a waste oil boiler. I like the Outdoor reset and boiler protection in one simple package.
It seems to me that circs are cheap and readily available compared to fancy valves, easier to change out, not to mention the piping layout seems to be easier to flip-flop right or left and pipe neatly into the available space. What do you guys think? Thanks, Kevin

    termovar

I would avoid the termovar if I could find a reasonable alternative. The connections are a pain the cv is high and they require a balancing valve for proper operation. On the other hand the Tarm gasification boiler is an absolute winner.

    As John mentioned

and their isolation valves are low budget leakers.

Thermostatics are parasitic devices, They'll cost you additional pumping power. VS circ make much more sense.

The Wilo in delta t mode, when it is available, would be sweet. It gets the job done with the least amount of power consumption.
