I get my 4-5 hours a night in. It's hard to sleep with all this stuff swimming in my head.

play nice with a complete geo-thermal system
Do you think a home using geothermal with mod con backup for it's radiant load and forced air load can play nicely with some solar pre-heat or solar DHW? Or should the two be seperated but in the same house or should the solar just go home and the de-superheater be invited to play?0 -
Another sleepless night!
Wow! I was just winding down, and then I read your thread. I guess I'll check in at 3AM.0 -
Geothermal & Solar
We have a couple of jobs coming up where the solar is tied into the return lines from the geothermal heat pump, and they are thermally storing the energy in the ground. The DHW is de-superheater and the back-up boiler, can I integrate the solar into the DHW as well? We just used a 4-coil Latento tank from Germany that had 8 ports, 2 ports solar, 2 ports boiler, 2 ports space heating output, 2 ports indirect instantaneous DHW. Maybe we could use a 3 coil tank and appropriate controls?

4-coil tank...
from IVT in Germany. Go to www.ivt-group.com and click on the Latento tab.
