B&G PL-36

I just saw a B&G PL-36 on an installation we did about 2 years ago with a lot of "white crud," on the bottom of the pump. The system we installed was a new Laars HW boiler (225 Mbtu) with all new copper piping connected to brand new Reznor hydronic unit heaters for a small parking garage. We've got black pipe coming out of the top of boiler(supply) with Spirotherm 11/4" air purger, fb-38 water feeder, #60 exp tank, PL-36 pumping "away" with copper from pump to rest of system. The circulator is making a lot of noise & looks like calcium build up (white crud) on bottom of pump (where the motor bolts onto the body). What's the white crud & noise? Any suggestions? Did not notice any leaks anywhere.
Thanks.
Thanks.

white crud
Sounds like maybe, electrolysis? How is the water in the system. Is this city water or well water. I wish I could tell you more but checking the quality of the water would be a great place to start.0
