  • Info on Barber-Coleman controls

    Hi all,

Is there a place online to get Barber-Coleman info on their Actuators and drives?

I am working on a MP-471-100-0-2 actuator with a CP8301-120-1 solid state drive.

    Thanks

A good place to start anyway. Barber Coleman info is difficult to find ...I believe they were eventually bought by Invensys , and it's weird that you don't see Barber Coleman listed on the Invensys site.

    Valve Selection Guide

Don...please see your other post where I'm trying to get valve assembly info for you. I can probably get the most updated Valve Selection Guide from my old company...or at least find somewhere you can order it from.

Also...cut sheets should be available. Some cut sheet info is in the old Siebe/Barber-Coleman catalogs. I found the wiring diagram for the CP-8301 interfaced with the MP-400 series actuator. I could scan this and post if you want

    Barber-Coleman is now

T.A.C. a division of Schnider Electric. Sold about a year or so ago from the Invensys Group. I used to work there 3 years ago. Good luck getting info.

    B-C, Invensys, etc.

BOSTON - July 31, 2006 - Schneider Electric, parent company of TAC, today announced the completion of the acquisition of Invensys Building Systems (IBS), a division of Invensys Controls with operations in North America and Asia. IBS will merge with TAC, a world leader in building automation, security systems and energy solutions. This follows the merger with Invensys ABS EMEA in 2005; revenues for the combined company are forecasted to reach approximately US $1.3 billion in 2006.

Invensys included: Barber-Colman, Robertshaw & Siebe. I can't find evidence Rockwell ever was involved w/ B-C, but it's possible.
