Today is the birthday is today. 64 Years old and still rockin. My old high school band used to do a handful of Zeppelin tunes, mostly from Houses of the Holy.

He started out as a session artist, then joined The Yardbirds (at the beginning he was their bassist until Jeff Beck left. He has been inducted into the Hall of Fame twice, once with the Yardbirds and once with Led Zeppelin.

Arguably one of the most influential guitarists of all time.

This song was written by someone else and they never gave credit to the artist. His name was Jake Holmes.

Check alot of Zepplins tunes and you'll find they take credit when they in fact stole them from old Blues players. When the levie breaks is a great example.

You're quite right, we'll have to admit. Willie Dixon and Burt Jansch were robbed, too. But at least they didn't ruin the original songs, which you would never hear played anyway? So many trivial lawsuits went on with other groups accused of the same...
There was a Led Zep DVD that came out in 2003 - very recommended. I like the acoustic songs with John Paul Jones on mandolin, and Bohnham was my favorite drummer.
