How to clean an old boiler?

I have an old boiler - 50-60+ yrs. The water looks clean but, I suspect there may be years and years of mud/sediment in the unit and mublegs. The units works but doesn't seem to get as hot or produce the steam pressure (not even .5lbs!) the others do (same vintage) in my 3-family house. How can I thoroughly clean the inside of the boiler? Thanks.
