I can not tell you how much I love this site. I have personally grown through reading these posts. The main trouble that I have been having is that as I try to post a new thread your computer system cannot read the symbols that it tells me to in put into it as per Please enter text as shown. I do not Know If I'm an Idiot or if your system just hates me. I hope there is an answer to this question, as I would rather participate, than be left on the side lines. P.S I have a Apple Lap top with OX , a Toshiba Lap top, as well as E machines.tower, as well as a dell tower at the shop. All I can say is that I love this site but the way you can post a message is all A'ss Up

HeatingHelp.com's audience is huge.
And that attracts spam bots. To fight them off, we have to use a code that the bots have difficulty posting. I'm sorry that it's an inconvenience for you.
Why not do what I do? Just cut and paste the code into the box. Position your cursor over the code; hold down the left-click button and drag the cursor over the code. Release the left-click button, and while the code is still highlighted, right click and select Copy. Then position your cursor in the white box, right click, select Paste and you're done.
Again, sorry for the inconvenience. I'm glad that you're enjoying the site.Retired and loving it.0 -
thank you
I am surely going to try that on this post. I sometimes spend as much as 5 minutes trying to figure out if it is O or 0, I or l or 1. Sure hope it works because it is more than an inconvenience. sometimes it has been an annoyance. Ruthe It worked. By the way control c for copy and control v for paste worked.0 -
Man, I thought this was just me with this problem. At first I thought my eyes we're going bad and not reading the letters correctly. I've tried to post several times but gave up.
Dan's tip is very usefull.. Thanks.0 -
cut and paste, make sure
you start as far possible to the left in the white box, when you paste, or not all the letters will fit in.

I had
trouble with this originally also... double click it ... then you'll get em all and don't have to read it or nothin' ... then right click it.. and copy and paste it.
even an ol dumb bell like me can do it.0 -
!!
Good idea that has driven me nuts as well I'm sure my poor typing and 'puter skills are partly to blame. my pudgy little fingers seem to work better on big pipe wrenches. I can't for the life of me understand why the kids text all day on those tiny little phones and crack berry things. Hey i've got an idea, call them!!0 -
Copy and paste, why didn't I think of that?
I thought it was a typing test.

Well, I sure didn't know that would work....neat. I always have a hard time reading these- and these are the easiest of them all. The ones with the shaded background and the cursive letters of different sizes.....sheeesh0 -

I so seldom do
anything I can take credit for, I hate to enlighten anyone on this one either, but I was one who griped about it in the beginning... I believe Dan Holohan told me to copy and paste it.
