    No heat in radiator

I live in an old house (1880) with steam heat The system is a mix of 1 and 2 pipe - first floor is all 2 pipe - second floor has a few single pipe radiators. The single pipe radiator in my sons bedroom is not getting heat. The feed pipe is exposed on the first floor and is cold all the way to the basement when the boiler is running - about to where it makes a 90 degree turn. I checked the valve and the regulator on the radiator - both seem fine. The rest of the system is also heating up OK.

Can these pipes become clogged inside? They look very oxidized on the outside and I doubt I could get this assembly free with a pipe wrench. Are there any other option short of getting a pro out here to re-pipe this part of the system?

If not - any referrals for the north shore of MA/Southeast NH?

    Thank you,
    TD

For anyone interested, I found the problem. Our system has a manual fill valve for replacing water that is lost during heating. The last time it was filled, far too much water was added, filling some of the pipes. The heated steam in the boiler apparently could not get through the high water level to reach some of the radiators. I drained it and filled the water to the correct level. Far easier than having to deal with a blocked pipe!
    Thanks for your input!
