radiators
I have a customer that has a couple of (20 section) cast iron radiators that wake her up at 5 am because they bang/clink. The system is an old hot water converted gravity system with a Munchkin boiler, primary/secondary piping, W/ outdoor reset. 1 rad has a traditional angle valve and the other has a thermostaic radiator valve. any sugestions to quiet the radiators down?
Thanks

Reversed Valve ?
Can the banging noise be coming from a reversed thermostatic valve? i had one once ,it was only one valve that was reversed in the flow direction and it made a racket tru out the whole house,or maybe it is only the expansion noise when the system turns on.? in this case try const. circ ?0
