happy new year
has anyone had experience with magnets in the boiler world?
my LWCO drainings contain lots of magnetic particles and i could trap them with a magnet--

Google "Rare Earth Magnets"
NdFeB (Neodymium Iron Boron) are the type I specify but there are others. Go for stainless or vinyl encapsulated to avoid the surfaces from corrosion over time.
I put a few of these, maybe four ounces worth, in a filter sock in a Neptune filter feeder. Just as well you can put them in a wye strainer or any device you can isolate to remove and replace them.
They eventually look like little black Chia Pets when encrusted with magnetite and other stray iron.0 -
