First impressions of new System 2000 EK-1

Since Bob'Techheat'O'Brien and crew did the install on Monday, I've been finding myself wondering how I tolerated the noise for all these years.........
Of course if noise was money going up the chimney I'd have done something about it.
So it was the oil bills that forced the issue, and I'm happy to report that one of the fringe benefits is a living room floor that doesn't shake when 'whip comes down'.
It's as quiet as an atmospheric gas boiler and I'm sure the 2" fresh air intake tube and covered burner box are a large part of that.
I now find myself taking a shower, then noticing that the boiler never went on thanks to the 40 gallon indirect. In fact in the mornings the temp gauge is on 71 degrees or so......No wasted oil keeping itself 'up to temperature' during the night...........
I guess 'cold start' sounds better than 'room temp' start, but no matter: I'm loving the sounds of silence and all that goes with it!
Heating season looms........The real test.
