i saw the sad news tonight on our news....so young....it reminds me to live each day as if it is my last. My sincerest thoughts and prayers go out to you tonight....John

Prayers please for sons baseball team mate and family

Nine year old teammate John Fontaine developed a fever Aug. 18 and was hospitalized two days later. He died today Aug.31, said Christine Powers-Perry, a spokeswoman for Children's Hospital in Boston.
The virus is transmitted to humans through mosquito bites. My heart and prayers go out to his family. All from a mosquito bite, still hard to believe as a prayer service turned into a memorial mass tonight.

John, I have been looking at your post for a few mins now ...words cant say what we feel at this news..i almost lost my little girl last year to menigitis, and the pain i felt was unbearable at times..My prayers are with the Family...My God Just be there with them and hold them through this time...

That is simply horrible. Was it West Nile Virus? Nothing rips your heart out more than a child being taken from us at such an innocent age. His family will be in my prayers.

Eastern Equine Encyplitis (sp).

I saw this story ont he news last night and it tore at mine and my wifes heart. The poor family, I cannot imagine the pain.
