thought ABS,..Then PVC...
now i am considering using the liner for large underground utilities sewer pipes. the prices i am finding are near the cost of a decent boiler. could not find any salvaged pvc or abs ...
the liner is expanded with steami am after it today . if it turns into a viable solution i may be buying 10000' quantities of this liner pipe*~/:) my buddy Dave said it comes sorta squrinched ,i add steam,it expands Voila! Pipe:)
Singh, how is the job comming that you were working with? what are you considering using for that aspect of the passive air for heating and cooling?0 -
The only thing on the schedule for PAH's home........

I have the fine boys at N&S supply helping.
We're looking into underground duct work for dehumidification.
The pool room seperate system.
I have a question for you, this is a going to be constructed on an Alaskan slab.
I have to ask, are homes in Alaska really built with this system common? What are the traits of this, moisture, movement, etc..

Singh...
the correct way to roll is to use the insulation. the engineers give alot of grief over it however, i have seen some fine systems(insulated monolithic pours) done properly ,with far less rebar by the way.
last year we did two properly. one was a shop. and one was a home with one wall of glass ,near the river With cathedral ceilings over the living room area. walking in you would think you were in a church the ceilings were That Highboth preformed well.
the house had a slab i could drive a D-12 with the blade and 9'Ripper up ,onto it and park:) the other was the shop. the shop used fiber reinforced cement with 6X6X9 mesh and a couple runs of 5/8th's along the footing portion and a 6X6' 3/8" rebar squares laid over the mesh.... guys all habby*~/:) contractor went "with" it and the owner has a clean burn waste heated slab:) no wicking no movement,.. there it is and functioning right:)
at this juncture, my buddy is considering a 60 X 200' shop avec offices. were i the engineer ...:) well, i would go with the foam everywhere the wire mesh heavy up the rebar on the fotter portion of the monolithic and lay in 3/8 on 6X6 over the mesh and lay in some rail road sections for the operator so he can run track equipment in and out the door:)0
