I have never seen a short list like I have now.. Is there somethin I did? I had a copper pipe Q: on the wall and now it's gone. I checked my options and nothing has changed.

our daily visitor number is up more than 30% from where it was last July. Not all who visit post on the Wall. In fact, a very small number do. Most of our guests are lurkers. I love our lurkers.

In a moment of haste I recently identified myself as a full time lurker and part time poster. Woefully inaccurate but I decided not to edit. I've been posting on the wall for some years now. While I feel qualified to chime in now and again, I do not feel compelled or obligated. I try to learn something everyday and after a hard day of beating my head against a wall, this site allows me to ponder other peoples problems and their possible solutions, thus alleviating some of my "jobsite pain".

Jim, Dan may be right. This is the cooling season and some of our luckier resident experts may have something way better to do. HOORAY FOR THEM, I say.

When my kids were off to college I told them to pursue teaching careers. Summers off at 12 month pay. If some of the regular responders are off for the summer, which I seriously doubt, they earned it and deserve it.

I used to commute the Dan Ryan expressway into Chicago for work every day. The busiest expressway in the world! My analytical mind told me that my commute times were shorter in the summer not because of winter weather delays; 10%-15% of the commuters happen to be on vacation that given week.......DUH!

The Wall lives and breathes year round, even if Dan has a penchant for "lurkers". Boy, I don't like that word...sounds like a peeping tom and my name is Tom!

hee hee..I know I have a sick sense of humor. All Bull aside.......Its summer (albeit, I despise the heat) guys that aren't crawling thru attics are getting away after a long season. I am thankful we are not slow, but this is the time when the wife want's you to do this and that ...take the kids here....every other day the pond needs attention. communions, BBQs upstate. no one has wandered far from the Wall. Enjoy a respite from the Egomaniacs............(ok, I'll be checking in a bit too)Mad Dog

the 30% increase in visitors over last July represents homeowners. They're reading, and learning, and thinking.

It's that Google Page Rank for the keyword "heating" that's doing it.

I've always been told I'm a good listener...and I am. I think I might have missed my calling as a mediator or moderator. I have the uncanny ability to put myself in the other person's shoes.....get this...even if I'm the first person. Yeah,....I lose a lot of arguments that way!
