On the NOAA site for our area this morning was the following statement...........
"Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 2pm, then showers and thunderstorms likely after 2pm."
Why don't they just say rain likely all day?
I read stuff like that and just shake my head and laugh.

And this one just posted today
Regarding Tropical Storm Beryl:
"The hurricane center said additional watches or warnings may be issued for parts of Long Island and the New England coast later in the day.
The storm was expected to turn toward the northeast and gain pace over the next 24 hours, bringing its center near the southeastern coast of Massachusetts Thursday night or Friday morning, the center said.
The tropical storm posed no threat to U.S. oil and gas facilities in the Gulf of Mexico."
This is a storm north of the Carolinas, heading north-northeast and they just have to say that it will not threaten oil and gas production in the Gulf of Mexico....
Sad thing is, some people, too many in fact, will breathe a collective sigh of relief as they adjust their tin-foil hats... sigh....0 -
Hey
You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.
And the pump don't work cause the vandles stole the handle.
Sorry, I'm in a Dylan state of mind.
