The more I look at that , the more I think its fabricated also. Watch the rider, he al,ost throws himself off the wall. Still funny.

Now the good stuff. Shawn has been told he's on the list for being selected to represent the USA in Austria for the World Championships, We have to sit and wait , but even being told your considered is an honor.

I sat by the computer Sunday afternoon while we waited to here about the USA Pro Championshipd in S.C. Out of 100 riders only about 30 finished the race. Shawn was 14th. Not bad. It was a tough race with a HUGE mountain to climb and that is Shawns weakest ability, hills. Still 14th of the best of USA is not bad.

Thought about the video this morning while watching the angry dad tackling a 13-year-old football player who's just tackled his son on the field. When I coached youth sports, we had more than one incident where we darn near had to kick everyone out and stop the game. It was always the parents, a few coaches and guests who caused the ruckus. once, when I was asked to ref a soccer game, our head coach made some off-color remarks. I stopped the teams & walked slowly over to him to say that one more word out of his mouth & we'd be forfeiting the game. He was steaming mad and started giving me hell after the game. After he calmed down, he admitted he was dead wrong. He never again suggested I fill in as a ref(G).

SC bike race

I wish I realized you were a biker - I live on the race course & would have invited you down for a race-side seat, some refreshments (& a little boiler advice). I see Hincapie pedaling by often. His win was good for local support of cycling (sez this out of shape ex-cyclist/mechanic).

Thanks for the invite. I was "watching" on the computer.

Shawn races for Navigators Insurance and was one of the leaders of the Peleton. He came on 14th over all and as you know the leaders where all strung out in front. The race sounded brutal. Hot and Humid and a Big Ol' Mountain.
