    Upgraded solar to go

I used a horizontal tank to allow the panels to fold for travel. With a Pv powered circ pump all that is needed is a water supply.

With a hand held shower i can wash the dogs in the yard :) In fact Rocket, seen in thre background, is anxiously awaiting her first solar bath.

    Panel

What size solar panel is that are what kind of BTU load will it generate? That looks to be about the size of panel I am looking for for my mobile-solar garage heat.

    Regards,

    temperature so far

about 127, starting from around 80. Partial sun today.

The buggy is built as a demo for various shows I attend. I also use it daily to take outdoor showers.

It will also be a good show and tell for interested solar DHW shoppers.

It's available to the local scout troops, family camping reunions, or bachelor parties :)

I have a Farm Feast in October to show at and it's available for folks that camp over during the show.

Paul, this 24 square foot panel is rated at 27,7000 at 95F, 23,400 at 122 f and 12,200 at 212F. keep in mind that is a per day rating, not hourly. Takes a bit of panel square footage to do space heating.

Check out the CSST manifold I used for expansion, fill, and relif valve mounting.

hotrod that's awesome is there a way i could do that and have my g115 as a backup on rainy days?

im just not sure how to pipe it because it will have glycol. for winter and don't want to use glyco in the boiler.

would love to go solar on hotwater though ;-)any tips would be great.

maybe i would have to do a separate systems electric hotwater backup with solar storage

    thanks

  • Flat rate hocus pocus focusing constipator solar collector...

    On WHEELS no less.

Cool. Nothing quite like taking a shower in hot water heated by the sun. Can't explain it, you just have to experience it for yourself.

    Good on you HR.

    Awsome

I am amazed at the enthusiasm that you have with all things hydronic.
Most would stop at solar hot water, but not you; You make solar hot water TO GO.
