Anyone ever use Runtal BB's? They look nice and was thinking of giving them a try.

Runtal Baseboard
Yep,
Put some in my own house about three or four years back. Love 'em. Nothing like waking up on a -40 morning and "feeling" your baseboard. Just like a nice wood stove. My wife loves them too as they are very easy to wipe down and keep clean.

Yes- great product
Nice finish and good "weight" to them. As Rocky said, the radiant feeling is welcome. Properly sized and like any panel radiator, they run well at low water temperatures with TRV's. I have them in my house in a number of configurations, along with some original cast iron. Compatible.0 -
I third that endorsement. I have installed several homes with em. More recently a bed and breakfast. The owners get compliments on how comfortable the rooms are all the time.

Another shining endorsement, we use them all the time for supplemental heat at low temps. Can be pricey when you upsize them like that, but they work great.0 -
We put two long (16 & 20') 3-row Runtals in a remodeled great room with three window walls at 8000 ft in Colorado Rockies and they have been great! Due to long length of ours, we needed to do a variable injection scheme instead of on/off zone valves or else we had a lot of expansion/contraction noise every time the zone cycled with 175 deg supply water. The injection system took care of 95% of that issue right away. May well use them on loft level in another house we are building in Canada.0 -
I like them too
You can order them made in any configuration, even curved. In/out on one end or the other or both. Colors. Heavy and costly but worth it in the long haul.0 -
Wonderful heat,
I like that customers like them...
Personally, I don't like them so much. The heat they deliver is great, but I think they look like a fence. In MY personal space..I would rather have a panel radiator, or better yet, a real cast iron radiator.
Call me old fashioned, but I like what I like, and that is not as "modern" as some would like, or want.
Hell, I sell them all the time...but it wouldn't be MY choice. JMHO. Chris0
