Little things add up
I took the crew out to lunch yesterday. It was nice a sunny and warm.
A big difference from the cold and rainy days they spent pumping out basements and watching the business while I was in the hospital with my knee operation. Two of the guys could'nt make it, but I'll take care of them also.
A little thank you dosn't take much.

There is a lot to be said
for someone that takes good care of the crew and the company for which they work.
The way Chris, Cheryl and company ran things during your convalescence speaks volumes. I definitely got the feeling that they would do anything for you, the mark of a leader.
Hats off to the Milne P&H Crew!
P.S. I bet a lot of good tradespeople would want to work for you, just as was said of Mr. Yates for example.0 -
In my
next life I want to come back as a
Milne Man.

Well..
Well done, Scott! It is easy to lose sight of the fact that your employees are your most important resource in the hustle and bustle of daily business. Everyone enjoys a pat on the back every once in awhile. -DF

recognition
Good for you and smart business. The thank you doesn't cost much but it returns much. Nothing motivates like honest recognition. And, as a leader your success is judged by what happens when you're not there.0 -
The WAIT! (for our food!)
I'll be up front here ...Scott had to call me to remind me this was going to happen. (I completely forgot, but luckily was working in town yesterday. Not so much forgot but lost track of time...Hey, I love my job...photo attached )
Thanks Boss. We DO appreciate the way we're treated, and the performance truly shows it...most of the time.
You should all be so lucky ! And Dan, yes, they do smell better! Chris0 -
I have eaten there too!
I hope you got better service than the day Scott took us. Poor Mr Hunt had to watch us eat our lunch and wait for his.
It is always nice to feel you are appreciated. Way to look after your men, Scott!!

A Rare One
When I was standing listening at one of the Wetstocks to Scott asking Ken Secor what he does to keep help and take care of them it was obvious he was not your average employer. Living in the same state my only regret is it is too far away to work for him..

Scott
There ain't no greater truth than your last line . A thank you or good job or attaboy can do wonders for morale . The only feedback we get is when something goes wrong . That's why I post pics here .
What an honor it would be to have you as a boss . Treating your workers as friends and family is what makes you top notch , buddy .0 -
Lashing out the whip
And, as I recall, the Milne P&H crew is also forced to go on mandatory ski outings... It must all be a choreArrgh, who am I kidding, there is more to life than boilers.
Congratulations on your success
Go team Milne.

MR. CHRISTIAN !!!
LOLOLOLOLO
I also forced them to a sailing trip.
I guess I am just one of those typical Non-union rich bosses, who uses labor like a cheap scewdriver.
Realy, if this post helps someone else think differently then it a job well done. We all try and use the best product we can and do the best work. Its all for nothing if the people who do your work Don't Really Care.
