Ruud PVP 40 SF problem, pls help

Our company installed a PVP 40 a while back, the customer has a pretty tough schedule, so when I go I'd love to be able to fix the problem in one visit. These mystery lock-outs are a real pain. In the two-three months it's been installed it's locked out maybe 6 times they're telling me. They simply reset the plug and it lights up. It's a Nat gas.

I will look at polarity and grounding when I'm there. Just wondering if anyone out there has mastered this water heater.
