Mod/Con and Cast Iron Rads

I've been asking quite a few questions over the past week and the people here are great. I've got new questions though. First of all is it worth putting a mod/con in a non radiant floor application? I have old over sized CI rads. I've gathered from this site that the Prestige mod/con is a good boiler overall , is this true? Could a competent home owner install one correctly or is that strictly factory trained territory. Also , maintenance wise , how difficult is it to maintain a Prestige. Thanks

cast iron rads & Prestige
Cast iron rads oversized are a great medium to use condensing boilers on. The Prestige boiler we have found over the last 3 yrs to need very little service (actually none as far as break downs for us) but still should have annual check. Regarding installation, if you follow instructions to the tee, yes a homeowner could do. But on this type of boiler, I would really recommend at least assistance from a proffesional. Good luck, Tim0 -
thanks for the heads up
