Electric versus Gas boiler

Try this site WWW.Electromn.com .this boiler is based on outdoor reset, nice little package. never installed one jet, i think that the operational cost will be much higher than a NG boiler,I use siegentaler cost comparison and it is always higher with electric but if you can use the boiler with lower rated off peak electric than that may be the way to go?? Just keep in mind that the tubing for the storage needs to be in a thick Thermal storage i.e. Thick slab/Sand. so it's may not a good retro application.

    Electric versus Gas boiler

I am trying to create a pro's and con's list for both an electric boiler install and a natural gas mod con boiler install to help the customer make a more informed decision. I would like some input from my fellow wallies. Thanks.

    thick thermal storage

So are you saying that in a new installation if your going to use an electric boiler to heat a radiant slab you need to do more than just staple tubing to a 2" foam base?

    Yes that's so

Yes if you will want to use Off peak you should use thermal Storage i.e Thermal mass . Check the installation on the site of www.Electromn.com.

    off peak

Thanks for discussing this issue with me derheatmeister. If a project does not have off peak available would you still recommend the extra mass? Edit: Just was on the website and answered my own question.
