what type of wye strainer

What type of mesh wye strainer is every one using to protect the heat exchanger on a mod con. I know this topic has come up before.

check out the Caleffi DirtCal

better dirt removal without the pressure drop. Most Y strainers have a very small cross section area to plug. The Caleffi captures and allows dirt to fall into the lower chamber.

We have been using the Spirotrap. When we first started installing mod-cons we used wye strainers. Spirotrap makes cleaning much easier.

I have been reading about the Callefi line for years but none of the supply houses around here have them. They don't even have Spirotrap. I have to order 2 at a time so I always have one in stock. Do you have a contact for the Caleffi line?

Thanks guys, Totallt forgot apout the spirotrap. I am going to go with the B/G hydraulic separator instead. This will be a great application for its use we are using a knight boiler and it is feeding cast iron rads. I will post pics when project is completed.
