Pretty neat holiday story

There was a story in my local newspaper about a 43-year-old man who had ordered a diamond pendant for his wife of less than a year. The same day he died of unexplained causes. The jewelry store called their home just moments after the wife arrived home after the funeral to say the pendant was ready to be picked up. Needless to say the people at the jewelry store were shocked when they heard the news. The widow said she would come in and pick up the last gift her husband would ever buy for her. But the store employees got together and purchased the pendant for her, delivering it to her soon after.

The couple would have celebrated their first wedding anniversary today, December 28th.

Hug your spouse, your children, and be thankful for people like those jewelry store employees -- people who really know the gift of giving.
