centerfolds of my 1st redo

that this is much improved. The Unistrut is not going anywhere...

In IMG_0186.jpg, I have to assume that the barometric damper will be installed in that tee, that it is "in progress". Rather ask than not...

The owner I am sure has a good "before" reference point and I hope that they appreciate your good work.

  • and i wish i had the before pics

leaks everywhere, and circ pumps hung with woven, flex duct strap. and yes, i now know that the comp tank is too small, but the system is working well
  • yes, the baro

is there, laying on top of the boiler, and was put back in place after the pics. and if i can locate the 'drawing' that i was given to work from, i'll post it. i'm sure you'll get a kick out of it.

and ya know, the customer's response was way more than i could have hoped for. i was in another part of the basement and he hadn't seen it yet, but stopped on his way to the boiler room, and after we chatted about the up-coming plays/performances at this facility, i stayed where i was, soldering some of the piping to the air handlers.
and then i heard a very loud, happy/surprised; "holy hell! i can't believe this". so, i milked my entrance onto the 'stage', and we had a very good conversation about proud performances

i'll post pics of my second redo/installation, where we had removed a '53 converted coaler out of a civil war era church. and part of the kick there was that i got to chat with an old parishoner who'd shovelled coal there as a kid. i dubbed the install as my industrial art project, because i had to get real creative with the piping due to the limited space

and thanks for the pat on the back. very important to a beginner!

    Ah yes...

I do see the barometric damper there now. I suppose that at first it was mistaken for Aunt Millie's holiday fruit cake :)

What a great thing to be the a fly on the wall and receive unsolicited admiration from a client!

    Good for you- some beginner!
