outdoor reset control

Hi
I am looking for an inexpensive outdoor reset control. This is for a single radiant zone addition in a existing hot water baseboard home. I was planning on using a 3 way mixing valve.

Weezbo raises an excellent point

The 4-way will afford at least some boiler return water protection whereas the 3-way may allow extended periods of cooler return water. The system description does say "existing baseboard system", so the presumption of a non-condensing boiler exists as a strong possibility.

A condensing boiler favors a 3-way valve to avoid sending excess hot water supply back to the boiler. The 4-way will.

Not directly, no.

The i-Valve Reset series looks at ODT and HWS temperatures to set the curve. Optionally, boiler return is used as a low-limit protection function which over-rides the HWS setpoint, I believe.

Indoor temperature is governed by the space thermostat, ideally via a Taco Expandable Relay.
