circulator for hot water zone

How many heating zones do you have? If each zone is driven by individual pumps (vs. zone valves), you will have independent relays controlling each pump.

Do you have a volt meter? Are you familiar with using one? This will tell you where the voltage ends; work backwards from the pump. If you don't have one and/or not familiar with using it, get some who knows how, i.e. a heating professional.

  • Check

the power to the circulator. If there is none, work backwards; it could be the relay, thermostat, power source.....

If the circulator is bad, it's usually too hot to touch. All that electrical energy turns the motor into a heater.

    that might be ....

a frozen coil or three way motorized mixer in the F.A. unit.

if the other zones open and close and the circ is running...then the problem is likely in the "field".

    man i type slow.

the added information would have helped Alan divine a solution quicker*~/:)
