Bell & Gossett Pump - Part for 1948 model

I am trying to replace either the bearing assembly or the seal on a Bell & Gossett circulating pump manufactured in January, 1948, which has started to leak. It has an 8 1/2 inch volute and is labeled Protector MRF38EV, with Serial Number MOT 115-6-11T. The size is H 1 1/4, and another plate indicates the pump is P-5 and 1-J. It has 1/6 hp. The closest parts I've been able to find are Seal #118681, and Bearing #189101, which would likely have worked if the pump was made after 1951. I'd like to know whether either those parts will work in my pump before I take it apart.

    For a pump that old

I would check the Smithsonian Institute. :) Or donate it.

A new pump cannot be that expensive and have to think that recalculating the head and flow can get you a new circulator which will cost less to run.

    My $0.02
