Taco noise
Southside
Member Posts: 20
Had a high pitched whine develop after the boiler had run for 10 minutes or so. It was difficult to isolate the sound source since the high pitched whine seemed to have no localized source. Eventually tracked it down to the primary loop circulator, a Taco 007 which is less than a year old. Tightened the four bolts which hold the motor cartridge onto the body and the noise stopped. Cheap fix.
I suspect it's not a one-off thing. Should I expect to replace the cartridge? Does Taco have anything to say about it?

As long as it keeps working
you should be fine. That line of circulators is pretty durable.
