As many of you know I have been posting

About music all this year. I was taking rock and roll birthdays from a calander that my office manager gave. I think its perfect that this is the last one.

Francis " Frank " Zappa ... born Dec 21 1940.

Frank was an American composer who wrote for Rock, Jazz, Synthesizer, and Symphony’s. He wrote and produced more than 60 albums. The man loved music and hated conformity.

For those of you who didn’t listen and didn’t get the joke ... you should listen to what the guy could do. It wasn’t standard popular music and that’s O.K. He loved music and what it was capably of doing and spent his life seeing how far he could take it. Just like many Wallies. ME and HR could be the Zappas of Heat.

I would describe Frank’s style as “Why Not “!!

From past posts I am going to guess that Frank was a Wall Favorite and I think he would have liked The Wall with its free form spirit.

He saw No Boundries to music.

My first introduction to Zappa was " My guitar wants to kill your mama. " My older brother had Weasel rip my flesh and I was stunned !!!

A friend at college turned in the entire lryics to Billy The Mountain to a creative writting class. He got an A+, very creative was written on it.

Thanks to Dan for letting me use up heating space to music for the year.

I might be movin to Montana soon.

Thanks Rick...

This was one of the videos that kept getting removed....but magically appears every once in a while.

Poor quality and some bits were cut from the original,(a few more slams...imagine that?) that was from Halloween 1981 or 2 from the Paladium in NYC.

I had the original taped from my T.V. when I lived in East Hampton, N.Y....but it got taped over with some Stooges shorts, ironically....

Glad to show it, and I hope many more will check it out...and get the HUMOR!!!! Chris

of all the Halloween shows at the Palladium I saw. The last time I saw him was at Fairleigh Dickinson Gym in Teaneck NJ. Thanks Scott for bringing back some great old memories. The torture never stops!

Black Napkin was from Zoot Allures, but with minimal horns,,,and you can see by the look and lack of participation from Frank...that this was one of the last performances before he passed on.
