Sounds like your charging into steam in that coil. Do you have an aquastat on that set-up? This depends on the pipe techniques. It should be like Noel does it. Seek under the Library to find the text on it. Under "System Piping Techniques" you will find much needed information which may solve your problem.

Peerless Ect-3 Steam Installed Recently.
Installers Tapped Into Boiler To Hook Up A Hot water Coil/Blower Unit That Is Mounted On Basement Ceiling.
When Taco 007 Runs For Coil/Blower Unit...You Start Hearing Steam And Hot Water Hitting Each Other.
When Pump Shuts Off...It Really Makes A Loud Bang.
They Piped 007 In Return At Bottom Front of Boiler And It Is Pumping into Boiler.
Hung A 3/4 Flow Valve In Front Tapping Right Under Gage Glass.
Any Suggestions On How To Re-Pipe Or Repair?0
